When done right, journaling can be a very powerful tool that allows you to become more self-aware and clear your mind. It can help release pent-up emotions, help you let go of negative thoughts, and can greatly improve your overall well-being. By journaling, you’re tackling your own self-care, which is directly linked to your own personal clarity and mental digestion of what is occurring in your unique experience.

It’s not necessary to commit to journaling every day, but if you’re new to journaling then we highly suggest selecting a couple of these topics a day, to get you in the habit of tapping into your emotional “gauge.” When we get in the habit of writing about our struggles AND our successes, along with how we feel about them, we begin to see more self-awareness.

So grab your notebook, a cup of tea (or wine), and let the words fly out of your mind, onto the paper!
